Deleting a Dataset

Skeena Salmon Data Centre account holders can delete any dataset they have created, or any dataset in an organization for which they are an editor or administrator.

To delete a dataset:

1. Navigate to the dataset and select “Manage”.
2. Go to the dataset’s “Edit dataset” page (see Editing an Existing dataset).
3. Select the “Delete” button at the bottom of the page.
4. To complete deletion of the dataset, select “Confirm” when the confirmation dialogue box appears.
   

Note that a “Deleted” dataset is not completely deleted. It is hidden, so it does not show up in any searches. However, by visiting the URL for the dataset’s page, it remains discoverable by users with appropriate authorization, and can be restored if necessary.
