Categories are predefined topics selected to align with the objectives and pressure indicators identified in the Skeena Knowledge Trust Information Framework. These eight categories are found on the Skeena Salmon Data Centre and are shown below:

Collections are used to group datasets related by spatial extent or project to create a ‘mini library’ and landing page. Examples of collections include the Lake Kathlyn Collection, ESI SSAF Wetland Collection, and Upper Bulkley Watershed Collection.

A dataset can belong to more than one category or collection based on its content; for instance a water temperature dataset for a site in the Upper Bulkley River Watershed may be added to the Water and Climate Change categories as well as the Upper Bulkley Watershed Collection.

Categories and Collections are found under the Categories and Collections tab on the Skeena Salmon Data Centre.
