A Trigger is a value chosen in one attribute that causes values to be entered in other attributes.
The value chosen in one of the attributes automates entries in other items.

For Example

You might set a Trigger so that when Bath Panel is chosen as the Element the options chosen in the Material type, Frequency of use and other attributes are automated.

Removing Triggers

Removing a trigger headings and settings does not affect existing records.
Only new Data Input is affected.

Adding Trigger Headings

1. Use the Data Automation menu
2. Select Triggers
3. Click the Add button
4. In Select a Trigger choose the Component and Attribute that will Trigger an value E.G. INSPECTION-Material COMPONENT shows in capitals Attribute shows in Title Case
5. Click the Add button. The Trigger is added to the list
6. Now add settings for the Heading

Removing Trigger Headings

1. Use the Data Automation menu
2. Select Triggers
3. Select the Trigger to remove
4. Click the Remove button
5. Repeat until all required triggers are removed from the main list

Printing Triggers

1. Use the Data Automation menu
2. Select Triggers
3. Click the Print button

Adding Trigger Settings

1. Double-Click the Trigger Heading
2. Choose a Master Option
 E.G. Vinyl
 If you are adding a Room Area Type you will need to Type the Master name
3. Choose a Slave Attribute
 E.G. INSPECTION Product Type
4. Choose a Slave Option
 E.G. Asbestos Reinforced Composites
5. Click Update

Editing a Trigger Setting

1. Select the Trigger setting
2. Use the Edit Menu
3. Change as appropriate
4. Click Update

Removing Trigger Settings

1. Select the Trigger to remove
2. Click the Remove button
