The autodialer initiates the emergency call, plays the voice prompts but does not provide a dial tone or complete the emergency call.
2º- Verify that the line wires are in the correct connector, in the autodialer’s telephone line input.
- Ensure that the wires are connected correctly as described in the autodialer device manual.
3º- Connect an analog telephone to the two wires of the telephone line reaching the autodialer.
- Connect an analog telephone to the two wires from the GSR to check if there is a dial tone and if calls can be made, ruling out wiring issues in the installation.
4º- Check the condition of the connectors, cable, or wires in the installation.
- Inspect the condition of the cable and wires along the installation from the GSR to the autodialer.
- Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the wires in the telephone line installation.
- Ensure that the terminals and connectors of the telealarm are making good contact and are in good condition.
- Check if any devices or external installations could generate electrical noise, and separate the wires from these devices to minimize interference.
5º- Simulate the installation under optimal conditions with short wires.
- To rule out any anomalies in the installation, conduct a call test by setting up the autodialer and GSR together (running on battery), using short wires no longer than 50 cm.
6º- Verify that the device can operate with an external telephone line.
- Ensure that the device connected to the line is designed to work with an external line. Some autodialers have built-in GSM functionality and do not have the option to work with an external phone line.
7º- Deactivate the dial tone detection in the alarm device.
- Follow the official autodialer manual to configure the device to disable this functionality.
