The autodialer does not play voice messages or initiate emergency calls.
1º- Check the autodialer voltage input.
- autodialers require an external power source. You can use the GSR’s 12V DC output if compatible, connect it to an external power source, or connect it to an adequate voltage source within the installation. (Consult the device manual to determine the correct voltage.)
2º- Check the emergency button wire connections.
- Ensure that the button wires are connected to the correct terminals on the autodialer. (Consult the autodialer manual.)
3º- Verify that the emergency button logic matches the autodialer configuration.
- The logic configured in the autodialer must match the logic of the contact used in the button (NC / NO).
4º- Ensure the contact is functioning properly.
- Disconnect the button wires and check with a multimeter that the button opens and closes the contact correctly.
5º- Inspect the installation wires between the emergency button and the device.
- Disconnect the wires from both the button and the autodialer, and use a multimeter to check continuity.
- Reconnect the wires to the button and check at the wire ends with a multimeter that the behavior when pressing the button is correct.
- If the button logic is configured as NO, bridge the button input at the autodialer connector to verify if the autodialer behaves as expected when the input state changes.
- Some telealarms configured as NC may require a state change to activate the emergency call. In this case, disconnect the button wires and bridge the autodialer’s button input for 2 to 3 seconds.
6º- Test other inputs that activate the emergency call.
- If the autodialer is configured with a cabin ceiling button, test making an emergency call from this button. It’s possible that a software issue is blocking emergency calls from the cabin.
- If the autodialer has a physical button on the device for making emergency calls, test an emergency call from this button. There may be a software issue blocking this function.
7º- Restart the autodialer.
- Disconnect and reconnect the autodialer power and battery to force a restart, allow sufficient time for the autodialer to become operational, and retry the emergency call.
