The Console environment plays a host to different user roles. Each user role has assigned permissions from which they can operate within.
There are four user roles in the Console Server. They include:
- System Admin
- Account Admin
- Console Admin
- Report Manager
System Admin
The System Admin is a unique user role administrator provided by default with administrative permissions in the Console Server. The System Admin can create Account Admin users and alternatively with a particular super account view, can also create Console Admin users and Report Managers. For more information on this role, refer to Logging into Console Server and subsequently Managing as System Admin articles.
Account Admin
The Account Admin user role is created by a System Admin (outside an account view) and is linked to one or more accounts. The user has minor hierarchy in relation to administrative permissions. For more information on this user role, refer to Creating the Account Admin
Console Admin
This Console Admin user role is created by an Account Admin or a System Admin (view into a particular account) and can access only features under the Console Management tab on the dashboard. To create a console admin user role, please refer Creating the Console Admin
Report Manager
Another user role that an Account Admin or a System Admin (view into a particular account) can create is the Report Manager. The Report Manager can access only reports on the console dashboard. To create a report manager, please refer Creating the Report Manager
