Creating the Account Admin
The Account Admin user is created by a System Admin user (outside an account view) and is linked to one or more accounts.
Similarly, there are two views that the Account Admin can manage operations in the console environment.
- System Admin view outside the account using the account selector view
- System Admin view in a selected account using the account selector view
Follow the following steps to create this user.
- Log into Console Server with default system admin credentials. Refer to Logging into Console Server for more details. Next, locate System Managment ==> Admin Users
- Click “Add” to configure a new Admin user.
- Select the appropriate user type: Local or LDAP. For LDAP authentication, select LDAP followed by the appropriate LDAP source.
- Select an account to assign to the admin profile
- Configure the remaining settings for the admin user and click Save
Account Admin outside the account view
Without choosing a super account from the account selector, the Account Admin has minor administrative permissions to manage Admin Users and LDAP functions under the System Management ONLY.
To view the System Admin outside the account:
- Log into the Console Server with Account Admin credentials.
- Do not select any account from the account selector view and you will have access to handle the features displayed in the figure below:
To create more Account Admin users, login as Account Admin and repeat the account admin creation process again.
Account Admin view into a particular account
After selecting a particular account, the Account Admin has full administrative permissions to manage features under the System Management and Console Management. Therefore, making the user a SUPER ADMIN.
To view the Account Admin with the account selected, log into the Console Server with System Admin credentials. Here, the Account Admin can select any account and handle the features displayed in the figure below:
