Identify the best place to install the LINKbridge

Where you install the LINKbridge will likely depend on whether the vessel is under construction or already built, and on what type of connections you are looking to make.

Whilst the LINKbridge is IP rated, we recommend installation inside a vessel for prolonged life and easier commissioning.

Typically, a LINKbridge is installed under the helm as this often provides easy access to NMEA 2000, NMEA 0183, ethernet network and antenna connections.

Securing the LINKbridge

A LINKbridge can be installed on a shelf in a 19” rack, or it can be affixed using the supplied mounting brackets.

It’s important to make sure it is securely attached with room for the case to perform its heat sync function. Consideration should also be made for cable access (for the connections and servicing). Minimum bend radius’s for the connected cable types should be followed in accordance with their manufacturers’ recommendations.
