Interfaces

*An Interface is used to define which devices are shown on LINKtouchscreen, LINKMfd by assigning the Interface to a controller. The are also used to define what devices are shown on the LINKmobile App as well as LINKcloud and LINKclient Simple Devices screen for the logged in user but assigning the interface to a user.

*Interfaces also allow the user to add specific background images to be used for the vessel in both portrait and landscape for dark and light modes. These are used on the LINKtouchscreen and LINKMfd (Landscape) and LINKmobile App (portrait).

ADD INTERFACE

To add a new interface select and click the Add Interface button in the top right corner of the Interfaces screen. This will open the Add Interface modal.

This modal allows the user to give the interface a relevant name and description and then to chose which simple devices this interface will allow the controller or user to access.

For example to configure an interface that would be used by a guest staying in the Master Stateroom you might add all the Master Stateroom devices plus some additional vessel devices that would be useful during their stay and assign this to the user.

However a LINKtouchscreen in the engine room or the vessel engineer, via their login, may wish to display the vessel running systems rather than the guest environment.

!After adding a new Simple Device this will must be selected on the interfaces needed.

ALERTS

The alerts section at the top of the Interface modal defines if vessel alerts will be seen or can be acknowledged on LINKtouchscreens & LINKMfds.

The Sound Alerts option will activate the buzzer on the LINKtouchscreen.
