Device Property Groups

*Device Property Groups allow the user to group together device properties from different devices in order to provide faster access to critical values.

The initial groups screen will show a list of current groups, the number of device properties assigned and the highest alert status of any of the assigned properties.

Clicking the EDIT button will allow the renaming and deletion of the group. The Calibrations screen is also accessible while in EDIT mode.

Selecting and clicking a row will show the device properties that are assigned to that group.

This screen performs in the same way as the Device Property Detail screen. Property control can be performed, Alert Levels can be set, edited and removed and the EDIT button will allow editing of the properties.

*The property delete button while in EDIT mode will remove the property from the group and not from the device.

CREATING A DEVICE PROPERTY GROUP

To create a group or add a property to a group edit the property in the Device Property Detail screen and type the group name into the Advanced -> Group field.

This field serves a dual purpose: it searches for existing groups as you type and displays potential matches in a dropdown menu. If you find the group you’re searching for, select it from the menu. If no existing groups match your search, continue typing to create a new group name.
