Your LINKbridge contains multiple power supplies for 100% uptime. It contains 4 galvanically isolated power supplies that enable it to be powered from:

  1. DC In (opt)
  2. NMEA 0183 Input
  3. CAN1 Input
  4. CAN2 Input

The DC In (optional), as well as being used as a direct power source, can be used as an optional auxiliary input when power is supplied via any of the other inputs named above. This gives the ability for it to be linked to a dedicated battery of a size of your choosing, to enable 100% uptime, even when the vessel is powered off.

The LINKbridge also features two voltage monitors that can be used to take direct voltage readings from power sources connected (for example leisure and starter batteries), without the need for additional hardware.

The DC In (opt), and Volt Monitors are rated for 12-24VDC. The incoming supply should be fitted with a 3A fast blow fuse. We recommend using 1.5mm tinned marine wire.

When the LINKbridge is first powered, the LED on the front panel will illuminate. This will initially flash whilst the unit is booting. When your LINKbridge is fully operational, this will turn white and remain on constantly. This light can be used to indicate the status of your LINKbridge. You can read more about these status lights here.
