ADDING A MANUAL DEVICE
On the Advanced Devices screen click the EDIT button and the ADD DEVICE button will be shown. On clicking the ADD DEVICE button a modal will prompt to select Discover or Add Manually.
The Discover option will restart the Device Discovery from your LINKbridge installation and setup.
The Add Manually option will open the Device and Property manual definition screen.
This screen will allow the user to add MODBUS-TCP, MODBUS-RTU or KNX devices
ADDING KNX DEVICES
Required
Device Name : Free text, enter the name you would like to use for this device
Select Bus : Select KNX from the list
Device Address : Enter a valid device address. For KNX this is in the format num.num.num with the possible range being 1.1.1 -> 15.15.255 use 0.0.0 if this is not needed for this device.
Gateway Address : Enter the IP address for you KNX Gateway.
Optional
Select Manufacturer : Select the device manufacturer from the list, if available
Model : free text, enter the device model number, if known
Serial Number : free text, enter the device serial number, if known
Software Version : free text, enter the device software version, if known
ADDING KNX PROPERTIES
Required
Select Property Type : Select the property type from the list.
Property Name : free text, enter the name you would like to use for this property
Property Address : Enter a valid property address. For KNX this is in the format num/num/num with the possible range being 1/1/1 -> 31.7.255
Optional
Feedback Property Address : Enter a valid property feedback address. For KNX this is in the format num/num/num with the possible range being 1/1/1 -> 31.7.255
Once all required properties are added SAVE the device. Successfully created devices can be retrieved in the Advanced Device screen.
ADDING MODBUS TCP DEVICES
The process for adding MODBUS TCP devices is the same as adding a KNX device.
Required
Device Name : Free text, enter the name you would like to use for this device
Select Bus : Select MODBUS TCP from the list
Device Address : Enter a valid device address. For MODBUS TCP this is a numeric with values in the range 1 -> 255
Gateway Address : Enter the IP address for you MODBUS TCP Gateway.
Optional
Select Manufacturer : Select the device manufacturer from the list, if available
Model : free text, enter the device model number, if known
Serial Number : free text, enter the device serial number, if known
Software Version : free text, enter the device software version, if known
ADDING MODBUS TCP PROPERTIES
Required
Select Property Type : Select the property type from the list.
Property Name : free text, enter the name you would like to use for this property
Property Address : Enter a valid property address. For MODBUS TCP this is a numeric with values in the range 0 -> 65535
Optional
Feedback Property Address : Enter a valid property feedback address. For MODBUS TCP this is a numeric with values in the range 0 -> 65535
ADDING MODBUS RTU DEVICES
The process for adding MODBUS RTU devices is the same as adding a KNX device.
Required
Device Name : Free text, enter the name you would like to use for this device
Select Bus : Select MODBUS RTU from the list
Device Address : Enter a valid device address. For MODBUS RTU this is a numeric with values in the range 1 -> 255
Gateway Address : Enter the IP address and PORT for you MODBUS RTU Gateway.
Optional
Select Manufacturer : Select the device manufacturer from the list, if available
Model : free text, enter the device model number, if known
Serial Number : free text, enter the device serial number, if known
Software Version : free text, enter the device software version, if known
ADDING MODBUS RTU PROPERTIES
Required
Select Property Type : Select the property type from the list.
Property Name : free text, enter the name you would like to use for this property
Property Address : Enter a valid property address. For MODBUS RTU this is a numeric with values in the range 0 -> 65535
Optional
Feedback Property Address : Enter a valid property feedback address. For MODBUS RTU this is a numeric with values in the range 0 -> 65535
