LINK provides a range of communication options for interfacing to marine devices.

  • NMEA 0183 Port
  • Two CAN ports.

Each of these ports feature the standard NMEA 2000 connector (Micro-C) to allow for easy connection on site. These are available from multiple outlets such as (https://www.garmin.com/en-GB/p/11644/pn/010-11095-00). Connectors should be Female ends.

For connections on either of the CAN ports the following pin out applies:

The CAN ports on a LINKbridge are universal to automatically support several different systems. You can use either CAN port for any of the following systems:

  • CAN
  • J1939
  • NMEA2000
  • DometicCAN

For connections on the NMEA0183 port, LINK recommends the use of an Antisense NBF-3, to buffer 0183 messages. A/B should be wired as follows to a micro-C connector, to link in the NMEA0183 port on the LINKbridge:
