The LINKbridge provides built in connectivity options to ensure that you are always in touch with your vessel, wherever it may be.

If internet is available on either ethernet point, the LINKbridge will use that internet connection. If no connection is found, it will default to the built-in 3G/4G system, so long as you have an active LINK subscription.

If you’re out of 3G/4G range, the LINKbridge also has a built-in Iridium Satellite receiver. This service requires a separate subscription, which can be purchased through your Vessel Dashboard.

The GPS system on the LINKbridge is intelligent. If you do not have a GPS connected on your other inputs (CAN ports or NMEA0183) LINKbridge can use its own GPS connection (when an antenna is connected) to determine your location. If an external source is available, the LINKbridge will detect it and use it alongside its own GPS connection.

Connecting a 3G/4G antenna
LINKbridge supports a wide range of 3G/4G antennas with SMA connectors

Connecting the GPS
LINKbridge requires an active GPS with SMA connection

Connecting a Satellite Antenna
LINK recommends the use of an Iridium certified antenna with an SMA connection. As this is satellite, it should generally be mounted flat with a direct line of site.
