Personal Property Penalty Pop-up Option

In the Assessors Setup Tab of the County Information Table, is the option for a Personal Property Penalty Pop-up. If checked, a pop-up will appear when scanning a barcode on a rendition or entering filing information in the appraisal side after March 15 to confirm that user wants to add a penalty to the account. This is intended to help prevent a penalty from being applied to the account. A situation where this may apply is when the rendition was in the office on time, but the scanning of the barcode to put in the filing date is occurring after the penalty date. NOTE: This will not affect the Apply Penalty option to non-rendered accounts. User may turn this on or off at will.

Other Pop-ups

If the Filling Date is close to the March 15th deadline, user will get this pop up. This is to help avoid errors if the rendition was in the office on time, but not entered on time.

If the Filling Date is close to the June 15th deadline user will get this pop up. This is to help avoid errors if the rendition was in the office on time, but not entered on time.

If you are in an index, you will be informed of this and must confirm if you want to continue.

After applying penalties, an edit log will be generated. This will include a run id which will allow for indexing of all records that penalties were applied to.
