Overriding Defaults of Personal Property Schedule Items

Notice: Proceed carefully when overriding the OTC recommended Defaults on Trends and Depreciation, unless user has board direction to change.

Overriding OTC Defaults of Personal Property Schedule Items can be done two ways:

• Individual Account schedule item (done in Schedule Item Details box—see below)
• County-wide schedule Item (go to Item Type Table for more information)
  

Individual Account Schedule Item Example
From the Personal Property File — Schedule Info Tab

RIGHT-CLICK on specific Schedule Item
CLICK Edit
This box will come up.

The individual account’s Schedule Item Details box is similar to the Item Type Table, but changes only effect the individual account.

CHECK Override Default Box
This allows changes to Life Expectancy Box

CLICK DOWN-ARROW next to Life Expectancy Box This brings up the Recovery Table.

DOUBLE-CLICK new depreciation description

To stop item from trending (after clicking Override Default box)
UNCHECK Trend this item.

CLICK X
CLICK OK

CLICK Refresh Button to see changes.
