Updating Personal Property Schedule Information Based on Returned Business Personal Property Renditions

After Personal Property Renditions are returned, user will:

From Main Menu go to Appraisal — Personal Property

FIND Account
OR
SCAN Barcode

UPDATE Filing Date (this will automatically update if county has barcode reader)
The filing date is very important, as the assessment penalties go off this date.

If the barcode has ALREADY been scanned and filling date added, user will get this message:

Personal Property Penalty Pop-up Option in the Assessors Setup Tab of the County Information Table, is the option for a Personal Property Penalty Pop-up. If checked, a pop-up will appear when scanning a barcode on a rendition or entering filing information in the appraisal side after March 15 to confirm that user wants to add a penalty to the account. This is intended to help prevent a penalty from being applied to the account. A situation where this may apply is when the rendition was in the office on time, but the scanning of the barcode to put in the filing date is occurring after the penalty date. NOTE: This will not affect the Apply Penalty option to non-rendered accounts. User may turn this on or off at will.

UPDATE Add/Remove item on the Personal Property Schedule if needed
