10.1.9. Active connections

In the Active Connections form, administrators can access the list of users currently using a given server. If a server needs to be shut down or restarted for any reason, administrators can use this module to warn connecting users of the impending loss of service.

1. Send Message to All: This button allows administrators to send a message to all active connections.
   • If selected, it will display the following pop-up window at the top of the page:
     
   • In the text box, administrators can either customize or create the message they would like to be sent out. Once they have clicked on the OK button, it will appear (at the top of the page) to all active connections.
     
2. : This button allows administrators to refresh the list.
3. : This button allows administrators to send a message to an individual connection.
   • This process is similar to the one described above, with the exception being that the message will only be sent to the selected connection.

*Administrators can sort items in the grid by start time, user name, or server name. To sort by either category, click on the corresponding column header.
