The ‘Show Multiple CAD-Points (Perpendicular) function uses the Flexijet 3D to aim at multiple CAD point perpendicular from the virtual plane to the real surface, even if the surface is uneven. A pause time between points can be specified when beginning the command, to give time to mark out a point before Flexijet projects the next point.

In order to correctly project to the position of the point on the virtual plane, Flexijet will measure to find the location of the surface, and adjust the aim of the Flexijet to project the CAD point, perpendicular to its position on the virtual plane.

NOTE: This function should be used with an active plane. If projecting to 3D-points, use Show Multiple CAD-Points instead.

To use ‘Show multiple CAD-points (Perpendicular):

  1. From the Flexijet tab, select ‘Show Multiple CAD-points (Perpendicular) from the drop-down of the ‘Show CAD-point’ menu.
Show Multiple CAD-points (Perpendicular) button in FlexiCAD
  1. Select the points to be displayed in your drawing, and press ‘Confirm’ or ‘Enter’. You may select by clicking, using selection boxes, or other techniques to select. Note that only points from a selection will be used.
  1. Set the Standby time between points (how long for Flexijet to pause when displaying each point)
  1. Set how many times to display the points. Ex: If set to 2, Flexijet will project all the points. After completing projecting the points, Flexijet will go back to the beginning and project all the points a 2nd time.
  1. Flexijet will display each point perpendicular to the active plane. After reading the plane surface and compensating for variations, Flexijets laser will flash to indicate it is displaying the correct position of the point on the actual surface. After pausing for the specified time, Flexijet will continue to the next point.
