‘Room Elements’ can be added to planes such as walls or floors within a room measurement.

Room Measurement section of Measurement Ribbon in FlexiCAD

Flexijet Screen - Room Elements section

For all the elements or symbols that you want to measure, you must first select the corresponding Folder/plane in the project explorer. To do this, simply use the function “Find folder”. Set a measurement point on the desired plane and the corresponding folder will be selected automatically in the project explorer.

Now call the particular room element function. Follow the prompts in the command window to create the room element.

Perimeter: Most of the room elements in FlexiCAD will be defined through measurement points on the perimeter. There must be at least two measurement points that
are diagonally opposite. A rectangle will be defined that always has right angles and is perpendicular. I have already explained that in the “Vertical planes” chapter. But,
you can also measure any number of points per edge. Only those measuring points that create the largest possible rectangle will be used to calculate the perimeter.
Measurement points that deviate more than 5mm from the largest possible rectangle will appear in the room element with red (!) exclamation mark.

Depth value: If there are many symbols, at least one depth value must be measured. You can also measure any number of depth values here. The lowest/highest value of all depth measurements is always used for the subsequent calculation or display of the symbol.
