The Plumb Point function allows for the transferring of a point up or down. This function can be used to transfer both physical points that are measured live using the Flexijet laser as well as points on objects drawn in FlexiCAD, and the result can either be placed into the current drawing or projected into real space using the Flexijet laser. This function is available only when a Flexijet is connected to FlexiCAD, and have used Auto-Level to set up your measurement project.

To use this function:

  1. Select the Plumb Point function, located on the FlexiCAD Ribbon under ‘Flexijet’.

  1. In the command prompt, FlexiCAD will ask, “Insert plumb line in drawing?”
You may choose if you’d like the plumb line inserted into your drawing. For visual projection of a plumb point, the recommended selection is NO.
1=YES, 0=NO” Input either 1 or 0 and press ENTER to proceed.
  1. Now, select the point you wish to transfer up or down. This can be done using the mouse/touchscreen on your Computer to select a point in your drawing, or by aiming the laser at a point and capturing it. In the image here, the intersection of the 2 boxes is being selected.
  1. The command prompt will now read “Aim at plumb point roughly and activate measurement”. If transferring a point to a ceiling, aim the Flexijet laser roughly at the area of the ceiling and activate the measurement button.
  1. The laser will now move to project the plumb point. The command prompt will read “Show points perpendicular from drawing completed!”
