FlexiCAD Change Ribbon May 2023

The Change ribbon contains a collection of tools and functions for modifying elements.

Paste

Use the paste button to paste the items you have on the clipboard. (Ctrl V)

To copy the elements to the Clipboard, you can use this command from the change ribbon or under the paste button. (Ctrl C)

To cut the elements, click on the command under the past button. The elements will go to the clipboard. (Ctrl X)

Move

With the ‘Move’ command, you can move the selected object to a new location.

To move elements:

  • From the ‘Measurement’ Ribbon, select the ‘Move’ command
  • Select the Element(s) to be moved, and confirm with ‘Confirm’ or Enter
  • Select the point where you want to move the elements from.
  • Move selected Objects to the new position.
    You can also select the elements and give it a right click on them, and access this function from that window.

Rotate

With the ‘Rotate’ command, objects are rotated around a selected point.

Note that this command is used to rotate elements on the canvas. To change entire canvas view, use Horizontal Alignment to set the horizontal alignment. To change the rotation of all elements in a single folder only, use Align a single folder

To rotate elements:

  • Select the ‘Rotate’ command from the ‘Change’ ribbon or from the right-click menu.
  • Select the element(s) to be rotated, then press ‘Confirm’ or ‘Enter’.
  • Now, select a base point of rotation, the point around which the elements will be rotated.
  • Now, enter the rotation angle, then press ‘Confirm’ or ‘Enter’

Mirror

With the Mirror command, objects are mirrored across an axis.

You can use existing objects or elements as a mirror axis, click/tap to define, measure with the Flexijet, or enter coordinates around which the objects should be mirrored.

To mirror elements:

  • Select the ‘Mirror’ command.
  • Select the objects to be mirrored, using the contextual selection buttons as needed, and confirm the selection with ‘Enter’ or the ‘Confirm’ button
  • Select the first and second points of the mirror access. These can be existing objects or elements as a mirror axis, click/tap to define, measure with the Flexijet, or enter coordinates around which the objects should be mirrored.
  • Now, the prompt will read ‘Delete old objects? [Yes/ No] :’ If you want to delete the old objects, then enter Y in the command line and press the Enter key. Otherwise, enter an N in the command line or just press the Enter key
