When it comes to interior measurement, we often have to deal with sloping roofs: but this is an easy task for your Flexijet 3D.
Walls, ceilings and floors are connected automatically to the roof area.

Proceed as follows:

  • You must have already created a room or a part of a room.
  • Change to a 3D folder. If you forget, a reminder will show up.

  • On the “Measurement” tab, select the “Connect roof slopes” function. First, you will see this note: ”Should certain roof edges be chosen? (1=Yes 0=No)”.
  • If the “location” of the walls to be connected is clear, such as in a simple closed space, you can enter ”0”. FlexiCAD will choose the walls, ceilings and floors that will be cut.
  • Enter ”1”, to select the roof edges yourself. Then, click the upper edge of the wall in FlexiCAD. These become red when selected. Confirm the selection with the green tick at the top left in FlexiCAD.

Now follow the instructions in the Command Window:

- ”Second point of the roof slope at the bottom right“.
- ”Third point of the roof slope in the middle“.

The same procedure is used when setting a “free plane”. See more in the “Creating planes” chapter.
The walls and ceilings are connected to the slope of the roof area.
Another folder called “Roof slope 1” will be automatically created.
