The Show Cad Point function uses the Flexijet 3D to automatically project a CAD point perpendicular from the virtual plane to the real surface, even if the surface is uneven.

To do this, Flexijet will measure to find the location of the surface, and adjust the aim of the Flexijet to project the CAD point, perpendicular to its position on the virtual plane. (plumb to the virtual plane)

To Show a CAD point perpendicular to plane:

  1. From the Flexijet tab, select ‘Show CAD-point (Perpendicular) from the drop-down of the ‘Show CAD-point’ menu.
    Show CAD-point (Perpendicular)
  1. Now, click or tap on the point of your drawing where you would like Flexijet to point. Flexijet will move to project to where that point should be on the current plane.
  1. Flexijet will now read the surface, and automatically adjust to aim to the correct position position of the point as seen on the current plane, compensating for variations in the surface above or below the plane.

In order to project a point at a specified height higher or lower than the plane, follow this link to use the ‘Quick-Aim’ function.
