2D-Snap mode
2D Snap button

2D-Snap mode is used for drawing objects on the plane of a folder, using reference elements that are not on the plane of the current folder.

With 2D-Snap active, all new elements drawn are on the plane of the active folder, by transferring them perpendicularly to the plane. This behaves similar to to how points measured in a folder with a plane with Flexijet are projected perpendicularly to that plane.

Example: A height point is measured on a countertop, using ‘Distance Point to Plane’. 2D-Snap can be used to reference the height of this high point into the full-height backsplash’s vertical folder.

2D-snap should generally be used when drawing to measurement points, as measurement points are always in 3D. This ensures that the resulting elements are created on the active folder.
