MEMBERS WHO HOLD A “PUA21012 – Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)”

In 2019, a new Cert II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) was endorsed by the Public Safety Training Package. This qualification is the “PUA20119 – Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue)” and is aligned to the SLSA Bronze Medallion award.

Whilst there is no requirement for all patrolling members to upgrade to this qualification, SLSQ would like to have a streamlined upgrade pathway available, should members wish to obtain the latest qualification.

It is noted, that any member wishing to train and/or assess the Bronze Medallion and thus the Certificate II aligned with it, will need to ensure they hold the PUA20119 prior to being endorsed as a Training Officer, Assessor or Facilitator for the Bronze Medallion.
