If you have more than one page of registered cameras, the software will automatically activate the camera search and page navigation. Especially useful with large systems, these tools will help you find specific cameras quickly.

The Camera Search field will appear at the top of the Cameras tab. It supports searching by the camera name, using single and multiple-word search tags. Beginning with version 24.12, you may now search by camera status and by camera tags (for Orchid Recorders version 24.12 and greater).

Search by Camera Name

  1. Click into the Search field to start your search.
  2. Type one or more search tags (clicking Enter after each).
    1. A single search tag with multiple terms (words or numbers) will initiate a search for results that include all of the terms, in order.
    2. Multiple, single-term search tags will initiate a search for results that include at least one of those tags.

Each time you press Enter, the search term will appear beneath the Search field, and the Cameras tab will update to display a list of all of the cameras that contain the term(s).

  1. Click the X to the right of the search term to remove the search term.
  2. Click the Reset button to remove all of the search terms.

Search by Camera Status

  1. Click the Status drop-down list to start your search.
  2. Mark one or more status boxes that represent the cameras you want to view.

Each time you mark a box, the search term will appear beneath the Search field, and the Cameras tab will update to display a list of all of the cameras that contain the term(s).

  1. Unmark a status box to remove those cameras from the search results.
  2. You may also click the X to the right of the status search term to remove the search term.
  3. Click the Reset button to remove all of the search terms.

Search by Camera Tag

  1. Click the Tag drop-down list to start your search.
  2. Mark one or more tag boxes that represent the cameras you want to view.

Each time you mark a box, the search term will appear beneath the Search field, and the Cameras tab will update to display a list of all of the cameras that contain the term(s).

  1. If you don’t immediately see the tag you are looking for, type it into the Search field at the top of the Tag drop-down list.
  2. Unmark a tag box to remove those cameras from the search results.
  3. You may also click the X to the right of the tag search term to remove the search term.
  4. Click the Reset button to remove all of the search terms.
