We have introduced several key improvements to the file attachment control, enhancing both its appearance and functionality.

Key Improvements:

  1. Redesigned Visual Interface

    • The file attachment control now boasts a refined visual interface, featuring borders on all sides for improved definition. A dedicated toolbar houses clearly labeled buttons for actions such as upload, download, delete, preview, refresh, and clear selection.
  1. Streamlined File Upload & Enhanced Metadata Display

    • Uploading files is now quicker and more intuitive, with the elimination of the pre-upload window. Users can upload files instantly via file dialog or drag-and-drop, without the need for additional confirmation steps.
    • Uploaded files now prominently display their modification date and file size within the control.
  1. Enhanced File Handling

    • File management has been streamlined with various access points for file options, including selecting the file, using the kebab menu, or right-clicking.
    • Users can now delete multiple selected files simultaneously.
A confirmation window will appear, allowing users to confirm their action before proceeding with the deletion.
  1. Progress Monitoring

    • The Refresh button in the toolbar doubles as a progress panel, providing users with real-time updates on file uploads.
  1. Enhanced File Validation

    • Uploaded files undergo a comprehensive validation process, including checks for duplicate names, accepted file extensions, and adherence to size and file count limits. Users are promptly informed of any issues through visual indicators in the toolbar. Further details are available in the Progress panel.
A mini green checkmark icon appears on the Refresh button for successful uploads, while a red exclamation point icon alerts users to validation errors.
    • As shown above, essential validation rules, such as accepted file extensions, maximum size, and file count limits, are now clearly displayed in the toolbar. This allows users to easily reference and ensure compliance with the configured settings.
  1. Single File Upload

    • For controls limited to single file uploads, the functionality has been similarly improved. Users can select and upload one file at a time, with the Upload button labeled as Upload File.
