The cover and title pages used to be automatically formatted in version 1, however, for the purpose of returning more control to your report we have included a couple of new sections in the Project Data section for customizing the content of these pages.

As a pro tip, I would encourage you to view these cover and Title pages from Outline View to get a better idea of the content blocks and space available.

* Cover Page Data Elements
Largely making use of the substitute variables from the Project Data Elements and Survey Data Elements, the content and formatting of the cover page and title page can be very easily selected if they are not already present. In the previous version of InspectX the cover and title page were built automatically which left little custom control for the surveyor. Now, we utilize specific ‘blocks’ of available space in which you can customize the content displayed. It is worth nothing that the ‘Company Name’ and ‘Company Slogan’ contents are only published IF you have not yet set an organization logo in the Settings. Hopefully your company logo already includes your company data, in which case these two headings become redundant.

  • Title Page Data Elements
    Similarly, the title page has more available blocks for customized content. If you change the quick insert options for these particular blocks of text it will make future changes to these pages much easier. It is worth noting that we have included an additional line of optional text in the title page’s ‘Prepared For Block’, for the inclusion of a Report Date. I would encourage including this information here, but you can also remove, replace or re-word this to suit your purpose.
