Each Video Map’s sampling mode can be set.
Interpolation in Videomapper
Videomapper transposes pixels from input to output — a pixel however is not a point, it has a length and width. When tiles are rotated or scaled, a tile’s pixel can correspond to multiple input pixels. How videomapper handles this is determined by the Interpolation Mode.
in the above example, a single red pixel is placed onto a blue background. The red pixel is rotated and scaled up to exaggerate the effect.
High Accuracy
The Default Groups of pixels are super-sampled to smooth edges.
- Diagonal lines will be smoothed.
- Single Pixel diagonal lines may lose brightness
- Max Map Resolution 8192 × 8192
High Resolution
Smaller groups of pixels are super-sampled resulting in less smooth edges.
- Diagonal lines will be smoothed slightly.
- Single pixel diagonal lines may lose brightness.
- Max Map Resolution 16,384 × 16,384
No Interpolation
Pixels are transposed 1 for 1.
- Diagonal lines will appear steppy.
- Single pixel diagonal lines will be correctly rendered.
- Max Map Resolution 16,384 × 16,384
