HTTP commands can be sent to a web server to make requests of the Hippotizer engine. These requests can include commands to change pin values, return the state of components, delete data stored in the engine, or update media and preset information.

The REST Web GUI can be found at http://localhost:40512 which includes a list of request URLS. The Web GUI also includes, try it now triggers for a selection of command types.

Alternatively, the stated IP address within the ZooKeeper component UI can be used to access the REST API.

When dragging out the Hippo API pin onto a pinboard the user is presented with instructions for accessing the RESTFUL API webpage.
