The Maximum Tolerance function shows the maximum tolerance of a polyline compared to 2 straight lines by creating these 2 straight lines. This can be aligned to the polyline or to the coordinate system (Horizontal/Vertical).

This function can only be used on open polylines. For a group of lines, first, convert to a Polyline using the ‘Single Elements to Polyline’ tool for more information.

  • To show the Maximum Tolerance line:
    • Select the Maximum Tolerance tool from the drop-down under ‘Polyline>Maximum Tolerance’
    • Enter ‘1’ for Aligned and ‘2’ for Parallel to Axis. Confirm your selection with the ‘Enter’ key or ‘Confirm’
    • Now, select the polyline
    • The maximum and minimum lines will now be displayed as colored lines.
