Area Stamp

The ‘Area Stamp’ tool calculates the area of a closed group of elements.

To use the ‘Area Stamp’ tool:

• Select the ‘Area Stamp’ command from the ‘Dimension’ ribbon
• Select an element for which the area will be calculated. Or, select an element of multiple areas to calculate the total area.
• Press ‘Enter’ or ‘Confirm’ to confirm the selection. The calculated area(s) will appear highlighted in red.
• Now, click or tap on the canvas to place the area stamp.
• The function runs in a loop. Repeat from step 2, or confirm/cancel to end the function.

Area/length stamp

• Select ‘Area/Length Stamp’ tool from the ‘Dimension’ ribbon
• Click/tap to select all the elements, or use the contextual selection options at the top left of the screen to select the elements by selection window or colour.
• Confirm selection with ‘Confirm’ or ‘Enter’
• Click/tap, enter coordinates, or measure to place the area/length stamp on the page.

Calculate the Area and Length of elements by selecting Area/Length Stamp from the ‘Dimensions’ ribbon, or right-click for the ‘Area/length’ stamp shortcut.

*These elements do not need to be closed polylines, simply groups of elements.
The color of elements is not changed by using this function.
