As was detailed earlier in this User Guide, Inbox and Outbox Approvals within ActiveControl are generally defined based on configuration performed by Administrator(s) and other users. The main exception to this is dynamic approvals in the Rules Engine, which make it possible for an Approver to be based on a Business Role assignment on an individual Business Task or Project.
Irrespective of how the Approvers are defined, an Approver within ActiveControl will generally receive an automated email notification from ActiveControl when their Approval is required. In addition, the Approval will also be indicated via the [My Approvals] tile on the dashboard home screen of the Web Platform
