Accessibility refers to the possibility for everyone, including and especially people with disabilities, to access and use information and communication technology.

ActiveControl Web Platform is built using UI5 and SAP Fiori design system; Accessibility is an integral part of both of those. ActiveControl offers various capabilities to ensure Accessibility for Basis Technologies customers and all end-users.

Different themes can be used to view the Web Platform by individual end users. Please refer to Themes section for full details of what is available, and how to change your local Theme.

ActiveControl comes with a responsive layout that adapts to the display resolution parameters of the individual device. Most core AC capabilities can be accessed on both PC and Mobile devices.

Support for Text Resizing

ActiveControl Web Platform can be accessed via all internet browsers supported by SAP:

  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge (Chromium)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari

Users can adjust the font size themselves using inbuilt internet browser zoom function. The responsive layout adapts to these manual adjustments automatically.

Tab Order for Support

Navigation between fields on a screen in the Web Platform is done using the Tab key. [Tab] moves the focus from one control to the next. [Shift]+ [Tab] does the reverse. Tab Ordering is possible on all screens of the Web Platform where a User may be maintaining information:

  • Business Task
  • Transport Form
  • Project

Clear status updates, messages and error handling is seen throughout the Web Platform. Labels and tooltips are used in the Web Platform to provide more information where appropriate.
