Within ActiveControl it is possible to send automated Reminder notifications to Testers and Approvers when they do not perform their required action in a configurable timeframe, for example when a Business Task and/or Transport Form has been sitting in a particular Inbox, Outbox or Test Queue for a long time. These reminders can be configurable at a Path level, or down to an individual Target or Target Location.
Two Reminders can be sent, each one potentially to different audiences. Eg the first reminder to the responsible person, the second reminder to a more senior manager.
Configuring Reminder Notifications
1) Configure /BTI/TE_RNTF_ALR with the required reminders.
Field | Description |
---|---|
TARGET | Target ID of the configurable target. |
LOCATION | Location within the target (Inbox, Outbox, Test queue). |
PATH | Path id for the configured target. Note, if using Path level reminders, you need to configure /BTI/TE_NOTIFUSR to specify the recipients. |
ROLEID | Business role ID of a Business Task. Note, this comes from table /BTI/TE_ROLEU after configuring User Role via the Windows GUI. |
ALERTDAY1 | Number of days the first reminder e-mail should be sent. |
ALERTDAY2 | Number of days the second reminder e-mail should be sent. |
GROUPID1 | Groupid of the recipients of the first reminder e-mail. Note, you have to configure /BTI/TE_NOTIF_RE with any Groups you have specified. |
GROUPID2 | Groupid of the recipients of the second reminder e-mail. Note, you have to configure /BTI/TE_NOTIF_RE with any Groups you have specified. |
2) Switch on the ‘Remind Approvers’ and/or ‘Reminder Testers’ notifications in your /BTI/TE_RNOTIFICATION_ENGINE program variant.
