Defining Priority Approvers

Priority Approvers may approve changes into or out of any target. Additionally, when approving a selection of changes, they may choose to approve with priority, which means that the changes will not need to be approved into or out of any other targets, once the priority approval is given.

Priority Approvers are maintained by ActiveControl Administrators on the [Administrators and Priority Approvers] tab of the Windows GUI configuration screen.

!Priority Approvers is quite powerful functionality within ActiveControl, as it in effect means that the automated analysis checks are bypassed and issues are potentially not highlighted. For this reason along with wider audit/compliance concerns, many Basis Technologies’ customers choose not to enable Priority Approvers as part of their ActiveControl workflow.
