ActiveControl provides an SAP-based Integration Framework that can manage outbound interactions with external systems (including queuing, re-sends, error processing and reporting) and inbound integration scenarios – those initiated by a system external to ActiveControl – by exposing several documented API’s and web-services that allow manipulation of ActiveControl objects by these systems.
In addition, as ActiveControl is a Netweaver certified product, all standard SAP integration techniques are available, including tRFC and IDoc communication. But for the purposes of this document, it is assumed that web services will be the preferred integration method and these are therefore described in detail in this document.
