This is critical to ensure there is no interruption in cash flow. While we call it “Test Billing”, this is a misnomer; it really is “Testing” the billing process via the AccuPoint platform. This consists of sending out at least one claim per contract – although one claim from each of your main services is advisable to get additional coverage. These will be live claims to be paid by the insurance company and they should NOT be billed via any other method. We are “testing” the full configuration loaded into AccuPoint (NPI’s, TIN’s, Codes, insurance information and communication with the clearing house) to make sure claims are transmitted and processed correctly.

Prior to this meeting – your team should have gone through the Pre-Billing Review; where they reviewed the sessions to be sent off for test billing to ensure they are in the system and ready to bill. You will provide us with the test claims that are going to be submitted for payment. We will review with you how to verify the billing codes, calculations, etc. and teach you how to approve the claims for billing. We will provide you with login credentials to the MDOL portal, which will provide you with full transparency to see what is being submitted via AccuPoint. We will discuss rejections under session results and how to resolve them. Any enrollment forms should be completed prior to this point in time. Any missing enrollment forms (or forms not processed timely) may lead to delays in being able to send of claims or receive remittance advice as many insurance companies require enrollment paperwork that may take a few weeks for them to process. Please save all completed enrollment forms in the case that any corrections need to be made. During the test billing meeting; we will review the NPI, TIN, Payer ID numbers, codes, rates and how the system is configured to submit your billing. Any errors will be corrected prior to submission of test claims.
