In response to the upcoming code changes, we have released a feature that will allow you to update your existing rate codes to the new codes used by your payers. This is also accompanied by the ability to update your existing rates. In order to utilize this feature, you will do the following:

1) Go to “Permission Groups” and add “Service Line Adjustment” to the group you would like to have access to this.
Select “Billing” —> “Service Line Adjustment” on the dashboard
2) Select the contract that you are updating the codes or rates for through the “Contracts” drop down
This will populate the services for that contract in the “Services” box
3) Select the services that you will be updating in the “Services” box
This will populate the subservices in the “Sub-Service” box if your rates are set at the sub- service level
4) Press update view – this will populate the services and sub-services that you are looking to update the rates and codes for

5) You will then be able to select from 3 options – “Edit Current,” “Update Rate,” and “Update Coding” depending on the type of change you need to make

a. Edit Current – will allow you to update the selected codes and rates for the service with the changes being effective the day the change has been made

b. Update Rate – will allow you to update the rate for the selected service and set an effective date in the future for that rate. The rate will go into effect on the date that was entered in the effective date field

c. Update Coding – will allow you to update the rate code for the selected service and set an effective date in the future. The code will go into effect on the date that was entered in the effective date field
