- International Staff
Staff members who are entitled to International benefits based on the positions the staff member encumbers (e.g. positions in the Professional and higher categories, FS positions, etc.).
- Local Staff
Staff members who are in posts subject to local recruitment as per “staff rule 4.4”.
- Conf Language Staff
Professional staff members who are being hired temporarily for conference language jobs (translation, interpretation, etc.). Also to be used for WAE language contracts.
- WAE Staff
Staff members who are not performing language functions and are on “When Actually Employed” status and will be paid only for actual days worked.
- Special Staff
Used for all tribunal judges, the Chair of ACABQ, the ICSC Chair, the ICSC Vice Chair, $1 contact staff, and MICT judges.
- R/NR Loan to UN
Staff members who are on reimbursable or non-reimbursable loan from another UN agency.
- Admin by UN Agency
Staff member who are hired for Secretariat positions but are administered by other UN agencies (UNDP, etc.).
- Benefits
Used for individuals other than active staff and non-staff who are in receipt of benefits (survival benefit, appendix D, etc.).
- External
Individuals who require a mini-master record in the system to allow for travel or for other Organizational reasons (e.g. meeting participants).
- Military/Police
Individuals who are military or police and are on loan from Member State governments. These individuals are paid by the Organization and receive MSA.
- Non Staff no Payroll
Individuals who are not staff members but are paid by the Organization (e.g. Consultants and Individual Contractors).
- Non Staff on Payroll
Individuals who are not staff members, but are paid on payroll (postal workers).
