Used to record the initial date of appointment (initial date of uninterrupted service/latest entry date without break in service) with any UN Common System entity.

Used to record the initial date of appointment (initial date of uninterrupted service/latest entry date without break in service).
- Seniority in Grade (U4)
Used to record the staff member’s seniority in grade
- Retirement Date (U5)
Used to record the staff member’s retirement date (for all incoming staff member’s effective 01.01.2014 this date will be the last day of the month in which they reach age 65).
- U6, U7 and U9
Only to be used exceptionally, when an Override in the date is required to ensure proper calculation of an an entitlement.
- OVR EOD D/S (U6)
Used to amend converted records for mobility purposes.
- OVR Mobility Ef Date (U7)
Used to record the Grant Mobility date if not properly picked up on conversion or if granted by another agency/Fund/Programme in cases of Interagency movements.
- OVR D/S Arvl-Rental (U9)
Used to override the arrival date at the duty stations for rental subsidy purposes. Used for staff serving in a Schema A duty stations who were recruited within commuting distance of the duty station as they had a date of arrival at the duty station prior to taking up the appointment with Organization.
- Pension Particip Dt (U8)
Date populated automatically through the Interface with the UNJSPF that captures the start date of participation in the Fund. This date will be the most recent date of contribution under the current appointment and it is NOT to be maintained by HR Partners.
- Declaration Date (UA)
Used to record the date the staff member signed their Oath of Office.
- Waiver Signed Date (UB)
Used to record when a staff member serving in the US has signed the waiver (I-508, Request for Waiver of Certain Rights, Privileges, Exemptions and Immunities).The signing of the waiver is a prerequisite for tax reimbursements and should be signed by anyone with an immigration status (such as permanent residency) that requires them to pay US taxes.
- ASHI-UNCS EOD (UD)
This date is reserved for use by the Benefits Administrators as it’s directly related to After Service Health Insurance.
- AL Accrual (UL)
Date that will be dynamically populated when processing Special Separation. Do not modify or change. The system will delimit the Leave Infotypes upon separation and when processing the Reappointment without a break PA, the clock will be reset here for AL accrual purposes.
If the staff member is a permanent resident of the US, and this date is not recorded, the Tax Unit will not be able to process their tax reimbursements.
