Umoja onboarding refers to the period of time from when a candidate has accepted the offer for a temporary or regular job opening and clearances have been granted through the generation of the initial/reappointment personnel action. However please note that as part of the onboarding process, Umoja must be used to request index number and inspira Offer Management Module must be used to request medical clearance. With this caveat, the onboarding workflow can be said to begin right after the time when inspira Offer Management has been completed and can involve the submission and processing of documentation on-line or off-line. The process requires considerable advance preparation on the part of the HR Partner and staff member.
