evergreen License – Important information for all customers

Overview:

evergreen introduces a new messaging system that advises users of upcoming license expirations and expired licenses. This system ensures users are promptly informed about the status of their evergreen licenses, helping to prevent disruptions in service and maintain compliance with licensing requirements.

Key Features:

• Two-Level Notifications: The messaging system provides two levels of notifications:
  • License to Expire Soon: Alerts users when their license is set to expire within the next 30 days.
  • License Expired: Notifies users immediately when their license has expired.
• Automated Notifications: The system automatically sends timely notifications to users.
• User-Friendly Alerts: Notifications are clear and easy to understand, providing users with actionable information about the steps they need to take to renew their licenses.
• Minimized Disruptions: By keeping users informed about their evergreen license status, this system helps to minimize disruptions to their workflow and maintain continuous access to evergreen features.

evergreen License Configuration:

Administrators must configure a customer account to ensure the correct validation of the evergreen license.

Navigate to System administration > Set up > System parameters > evergreen license and configure your “Customer ID”.

Note: Your “Customer ID” will be provided by sa.global. If you have not received it, please contact sa.global.

evergreen periodically verifies whether the “Customer ID” has been configured and sends notifications to administrators if it is not set up. These notifications are actionable, allowing administrators to proceed to the evergreen license parameters to configure the “Customer ID”.

How It Works:

• License Check: The system regularly checks the status of the evergreen license.
• Notification Trigger:
  • License to Expire Soon: When the license is detected to expire within the next 30 days, the system triggers a notification.
  • License Expired: When a license is detected as expired, the system triggers an immediate notification.
• User Alert: Users receive notifications advising them of the soon-to-expire or expired license, with instructions on how to renew it.

This enhancement ensures that users are always informed about their license status, helping to maintain smooth and uninterrupted use of evergreen.
