Overview
A new enhancement has been introduced to the Employee Diversity Declaration form to support the inclusion of neurodiversity in workforce reporting. HR and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) teams can now enable the option to ask:
“Do you consider yourself to be neurodivergent? (e.g. autistic spectrum condition, dyslexia, ADHD, etc)?”
This addition aims to promote greater awareness and inclusivity by giving employees the opportunity to self-identify as neurodivergent, if they choose to.
Key benefits
- Supports inclusion by acknowledging neurodivergence as part of diversity.
- Improves reporting for HR and D&I managers to better understand the needs of their workforce.
- Customisable to fit organisational needs and terminology.
How it works
A new flag has been added to Human Resources parameters to control whether the neurodivergence question should be displayed.
When enabled, the question appears on:
- The Employee Self Service diversity declaration screen.
- The Employee Diversity form available to HR users.
Organisations can configure a custom list of neurodivergence options (e.g. dyslexia, autism, ADHD) that employees can choose from.
Navigation path:
Navigate to Human resources > Setup > Diversity declaration to configure the neurodivergence options.
Responses are stored securely and treated in accordance with the organisation’s data privacy policies.
This enhancement helps organisations foster a more inclusive environment while maintaining flexibility and compliance in how diversity information is collected and used.
