Copy Financial Dimensions from Primary Positions to Employee

Overview:

We are excited to introduce the “Copy Financial Dimension from Positions to Employment” feature, designed to streamline and automate the process of defaulting financial dimension values onto an employee’s record. This feature enhances efficiency by leveraging parameters tailored to each financial dimension.

Feature Management:

New feature management option has been introduced under “(evergreen HR) Default dimensions from positions to employee.” Before enabling this feature, it is essential to disable personnel worker actions.

Parameters:

• All active financial dimension parameters are now available in Human Resources shared parameters.
• Users have the flexibility to enable or disable specific parameters.
• Primary financial dimensions will be defaulted from primary positions to employees only for the enabled financial dimension parameters.

Path: Human resources > Setup > Human Resources shared parameters

Functionality:

• Financial dimensions will be stored based on legal entity wise in positions. Dimensions will be defaulted from the primary position to employment based on the legal entity.
• When setting the primary position, a pop-up message will prompt: “Do you wish to update the worker’s financial dimensions from the primary position?” If confirmed, dimensions will be defaulted from the primary position.
• On actions such as assign/modify/reapply primary positions, dimensions will be defaulted from the primary position to the employee.
• In cases where the primary position holds blank dimensions or is not attached to employees, dimensions will remain blank in the employee record for enabled financial dimension parameters.
