In addition to provisioning in Cisco UC applications, Search Services can provision users in Microsoft Active Directory, allowing you to provision a user in Active Directory and then complete the provisioning process in Cisco UC applications in a single request.

The following actions are supported in Microsoft Active Directory:

  • Add User
  • Delete user
  • Edit User
  • Reset Password

To Configure Search Services Provisioning for Microsoft Active Directory:

  1. Select Search Services from the System menu
  2. Click Add to configure a new service
  3. Select one of the Onboard Services from the list
  4. Add a label for the service
  5. Add a description for the service
  6. Select one of the options from the AD User field:
  • Create AD User to Provision – this option will allow you to add a user in AD and then schedule a standard Cisco UC user provision after the user is synced into CUCM.
  • Create AD User Only – this option will provision the user in AD.
  1. Configure the fields and options for the service (See videos for details)
