Provisioning Manager Service Groups provide the following functions

  • Assemble Applications Servers into a logical container for provisioning
  • Provide configuration settings for Service Group based features

This section will focus on basic settings required to configure a Service Group. Other Service Group based feature configuration will be covered in their respective sections.

To add a Service Group:

  1. Select Service Groups from the System menu
  2. On the menu, click Add to create a new Service Group
  3. Configure the Service Group by selecting the application servers
Field Description
Service Group Information
Group Name Enter an name for the Service Group.
Group Description Enter a description for the Service Group name.
Communications Manager Select the CUCM server.
Unity Connection Select the CUC server.
UCCX Select the UCCX server.
WebEx Meetings Site Select the WebEx Meetings Site site.
WebEx Teams Select the WebEx Teams site.
Cisco Meeting Server Select the Cisco Meeting server.
DN Aging Period Set the DN Aging Period in days. Value = (1-999)
Enable Search Across Clusters Provides the ability to search for DN ranges across multiple clusters. Current limit of 5.
Enable Site Templates Enables the use of Site Templates. (recommended)
Require Site Template Selection Requires the selection of a Site Templates if enabled. (recommended)
Client Matter Code Rule
Enable Client Matter Codes Rules Enable to create a virtual link of CMCs to users. Allow CMCs to be added and deleted when provisioning users
Rule Enter the rule for FAC name and enduser link via global user variables combined with free form string. Only GVs that have CUCM Validation set to `enduser` and have assigned CUCM field association are supported.
Delete with linked enduser Requires the selection of a Site Templates if enabled. (recommended)
Forced Authorization Codes
Enable Forced Authorization Codes Rules Enable to create a virtual link of FACs to users. Allow FACs to be added and deleted when provisioning users
Rule Enter the rule for FAC name and enduser link via global user variables combined with free form string. Only GVs that have CUCM validation set to `enduser` and have assigned CUCM field association are allowed supported.
Delete with linked enduser Requires the selection of a Site Templates if enabled. (recommended)
DN Pool Reporting Configuration
Set Time Select the time of day to run the synchronization.
Send Email Notification Enable to send email notifications with DN Usage reports.
Email List Specify one or more email addresses separated by semicolons.
Percentage Color Settings Update threshold settings.
DN Synchronization to Active Directory
Enable DN synchronization to Active Directory Select to enable DN synchronization to Active Directory.
LDAP server Select the LDAP server for integration.
Bind Attribute Enter LDAP Attribute to bind to during authentication. Commonly used attributes: sAMAccountName or mail. Attribute names are case sensitive.
LDAP Update Attribute(s) Enter the LDAP attributes to be updated. Common attributes are ipPhone and telephonNunber
Auto-delete Phones
Use Cached Data in Form Filter Check to enable the used of cached data (time to live: 3600 seconds) for form filter searches instead of a live request to the CUCM server. This may be required if there is a large number (thousands) of phones to process. Please consider your server resources (memory size) before allowing to cache large amounts of data.

Provision Form
Enable End-user Validation Check to enable the validation of the use of the same enduser id through multiple jobs in the same provision form to prevent duplicates.
Enable End-user Home Cluster Validation Check to enable the validation of the existence of enduser’s Home Cluster settings across multiple CUCMs clusters.
Communication Managers Select the cluster to search for the Home Cluster setting.
Action Set the action to take when a user will be configured with the Home Cluster setting enabled on more than one cluster.
  1. When finished, click Save
