Permissions

The first time you are using the YetiCalendar app, you might be asked to grant some permissions in order for the app to run properly and smoothly. Please allow YetiCalendar access to the following information:

  • Access to your contacts
  • Access to photos, media, and files on your device
  • Access to your calendar

Local Calendar vs. Google Calendar

The first time you open up the YetiCalendar you will be asked which account you want to primarily use for the calendar. The main difference is here between the local calendar and one that is linked to a Google account.

Local Calendar

The local calendar does not store data in a cloud but locally on your device. The second difference is that with the local calendar you can add multiple calendars within the calendar.

For more information on how to manage the local calendar please go to Managing Calendars

Google Calendar

The calendar that is linked to your Google account will most likely end in @gmail.com, unless you have used a GSuite company account, in which case the ending varies. If you use a Google account your events from your Google Calendar will also show up in your YetiCalendar or you can send events from your Google Calendar application or browser to the YetiCalendar.

For more information on how to manage a calendar linked to your Google account please go to Google Calendar within the Advanced options
