To confirm that MSD has cleared the applicant, use PA20 to display infotype 0487 (Security/Medical Clearance). When cleared, EarthMed will update Umoja with the date of clearance and the EarthMed ID for requests initiated in inspira and in Umoja.
The most recent clearance records will be shown on infotype 0487.
As per the provisions of ST/AI/2011/3 on Medical Clearance, medical clearances are normally valid for one year from the date of issuance.
When viewing IT0487 using PA20:
- For medical clearances issued by Medical Services and updated in Umoja via EarthMed
- Start date – Date the HR Partner submitted the request for medical clearance
- Chng (date) – Date MSD issued the clearance
- For medical clearances based on a certificate issued by a medical practitioner and recorded manually by the HR Partner in Umoja,
- Start date represents the issuance date of the clearance.
- Chng (date) – field does not appear.
